1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and CertiFlyers LLC, 4730 S. Fort Apache Rd, Suite 300, Las Vegas, NV 89147 ("CertiFlyers", "we", "us"). They apply when you use certiflyers.com or the CertiFlyers apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account or using CertiFlyers you accept them; if you use CertiFlyers for a company, you accept them for that company and confirm you may do so. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
You must be at least 16 to use CertiFlyers. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian, or the employer or school that gives you your account, must agree to these terms for you, and only they can make purchases.
2. Accounts
There are three kinds of account:
Individual learner: you create your own account and buy courses for yourself.
Manager: you open a company account, add your employees as company learners, assign them courses and follow their progress and certificates.
Company learner: your company's Manager adds you and assigns your courses.
Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at support@certiflyers.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account unless it was misused because of our fault. You can sign out any device from your account settings.
If you are a Manager, you confirm that your company is allowed to give us its employees' names and email addresses and has told them how their information will be used for their training. You are responsible for who you add, which courses you assign, and for removing people who leave the company.
3. Courses
When you buy a course, or your company assigns you one, you get a personal, non-transferable right to watch, read and take that course for the access period shown for that course, for your own training. The videos, documents, quizzes and other materials belong to CertiFlyers or its licensors. You may not copy, download (except your own certificates), share, resell or publish them, or let anyone else use your account to take a course.
Our courses are general training. They do not replace your employer's procedures, the manufacturer's instructions, the regulations that apply to your work, or the practical training and supervision your job requires, and completing a course does not by itself authorise anyone to perform maintenance or any other regulated task. We may update a course's content to keep it accurate.
4. Certificates
When you pass a course's quiz at the pass mark shown in the course, we issue a certificate in your name with a certificate number, issue date and expiry date. A certificate records that you completed that CertiFlyers course on that date; it is not a licence, rating or regulatory approval.
Each certificate has a QR code linking to a public page where anyone holding it can check whether the certificate is valid, expired or revoked.
We may revoke a certificate if the purchase it depends on is refunded or reversed through a payment dispute, if it was obtained by cheating or by someone other than the named learner, or if it was issued in error. The verification page will then show it as revoked. If you think a certificate was revoked by mistake, contact us.
5. Buying
On the website. Courses and plans are paid by card through Stripe, in US dollars. The price is shown before you pay, together with any sales tax or VAT, which is calculated at checkout from your billing address; a single course for an individual learner is currently $12.99.
Every course for a year. An individual learner can buy a yearly plan that includes every course. It renews automatically for another year, at the price then current, until you stop it from your account; you keep access until the end of the year already paid. We email you 30 days before each renewal.
If your renewal payment fails. We email you, the card is tried again on Stripe's retry date (otherwise on day 3), and your courses stay open for 7 days. If the payment is still missing after 7 days, your plan waits until it is paid: you can still sign in, finish a course you started and keep your certificates, but you cannot start another course from the plan. Paying lifts this at once.
Company plans. A company's plans are covered by the Company terms. If a company's renewal payment fails, every manager is emailed, the card is tried again on Stripe's retry date (otherwise on day 3), and courses stay open for 7 days. If the payment is still missing after 7 days, the company waits, as after a trial that ended, until it pays; paying lifts this at once.
In the iPhone app. Individual learners can buy single courses in the iPhone app through Apple's in-app purchase, at the same price as on the website (shown by Apple in your local currency). Apple takes the payment, and Apple's terms and refund process apply to those purchases. Managers and company learners do not buy in the app, and the Android app does not sell courses.
Price changes. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects what you have already bought.
Payment disputes. If you dispute a card payment with your bank, access to what that payment bought is paused while the dispute is open, restored if it is resolved in our favour, and removed if it is not.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Courses bought on the website. If you ask within 14 days of buying a course and have not completed it, we refund it in full. Write to support@certiflyers.com with your account email. A refund ends your access to that course, and if a certificate was already issued for it, the certificate is revoked; your training record stays. A second purchase of a course you already own is not refundable.
Courses bought in the iPhone app. Refunds are handled by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support. If Apple refunds a purchase, access to the course ends and any certificate issued for it is revoked.
Company plans. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period already paid; we do not refund part-periods unless the law requires it.
Customers in the EU and the UK. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. This section does not limit any rights you have under the law where you live.
7. The AI course assistant and acceptable use
AI course assistant. Some courses include an assistant that answers questions about the course using artificial intelligence. Its answers are generated automatically from the course material and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against the course itself, your employer's procedures and the official documents for your work, and never rely on the assistant alone for a safety-critical decision. Do not enter personal or confidential information into it.
Acceptable use. When using CertiFlyers you agree not to:
share your account, or take a course or quiz for someone else;
copy, record, scrape or redistribute course materials;
try to get around access controls, payment, or the quiz and certificate rules;
interfere with the platform, probe it for weaknesses, or overload it;
upload anything unlawful, offensive or that you have no right to share, including in profile photos, feedback or support messages.
8. Ending your account, changes, and limits
Ending your account. You can delete your account at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law or a security reason prevents it. If we close your account when you have not broken these terms, we refund the unused part of anything you paid for.
Changes to the service. We improve CertiFlyers over time and may change or remove features. We will not take away a course you bought during its access period without refunding it.
Disclaimer. We work to keep CertiFlyers accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or error-free, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot be limited by law.
9. Law, changes, Apple, and contact
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim in its courts.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell signed-in users by email or in the website and apps at least 30 days before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
If you use the iPhone app. These terms are between you and CertiFlyers, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your right to use the app is limited to Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, which will refund any purchase price paid for the app itself; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. CertiFlyers, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and intellectual property claims. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
